Calum Inverarity

Former Development Intern,

Calum, a British citizen, joined Bruegel's Development Team in May 2017. His academic history includes a BA in International Development with International Relations from the University of Leeds, which included periods spent studying at the University of Ghana and the University of California, San Diego. Upon completion, he then undertook his MSc in Conflict Resolution and Governance at the University of Amsterdam, during which he focused upon the contemporary challenges within the science-for-policy nexus in his thesis.

Following his studies and prior to joining Bruegel, Calum interned at a number of NGOs in the UK. Throughout this time he developed his background in mediation theory and practice by working on issues such as the Kurdish-Turkish conflict and democratic advancement. In addition to being a native English speaker, he also has a basic understanding of French.
