Dan Finn

Dan Finn is Professor of Social Inclusion at the University of Portsmouth. He has undertaken and managed many comparative studies of activation policies and the design and delivery of welfare benefits and labour market programmes. Recent projects include comparative research on the devolution and local coordination of employment services, and the contracting out and delivery of labour market programmes. Dan has been a special adviser to UK parliamentary select committees and has undertaken research for the World Bank, European Commission, and OECD as well as for UK bodies such as the Department for Work and Pensions. Dan has also been a Visiting Professor at the University of Melbourne and Visiting Fellow at IFAU, University of Uppsala (Sweden), the Australian National University (Canberra) and is currently a Visiting Fellow at the Korean Labor Institute (Seoul).
