Hideyuki Makimoto

Hideyuki Makimoto, a Japanese citizen, joined Bruegel as a visiting fellow in September 2016.  Prior to coming to Brussels, he worked for the Cabinet Office of the government of Japan, where he dealt with macroeconomic and fiscal policy management and economic analysis. He graduated from Kyoto University and obtained a master's degree in public policy from the University College London (UCL) as a Chevening Scholar (British Government Scholarship). He speaks English and Japanese.
