Yuwei Hu

Mr. Hu – PhD in Economics, is currently Department Head of International Finance at China Institute of Finance and Capital Market, CSRC. Prior to that, Dr. Hu was Deputy Director of Macro Research Department at Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies (RDCY), China Representative of the BBVA bank,Economist at the OECD, respectively, as well as visiting fellow and consultant to European Commission, World Bank, IMF. Meanwhile, he is also associate fellow at Renmin University of China, China Academy of Social Sciences, Shanghai University of International Business and Economics, and China Ageing Finance Forum 50. He has led and participated in various major international and local research programmes. Mr. Hu’s main research areas are macroeconomics, international finance, and social protection. He regularly publishes articles in academic and professional outlets, as well as frequently appearing on CGTN (formerly CCTV News), China Radio International, among others. He studied at Leeds University, Brunel University, and Oxford University, respectively.
