Jerzy Hausner

Professor of Economics, Head of the Department of Public Economy and Administration at Cracow University of Economics.

Author of about 330 publications on political economy and public management.

From the mid‐1990s he held many important positions in the state and government administration, i.a. chief of advisors to Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister, Grzegorz Kołodko (1994‐ 1996), in 2001–2005 Member of Parliament in the Polish Sejm of the fourth term, Deputy Prime Minister and minister at the governments of Leszek Miller (2001‐2004) and Marek Belka (2004‐ 2005). From January 2010 member of the Monetary Policy Council.
