Kosuke Aoki

Kosuke Aoki is Professor of Economics at the Faculty of Economics, University of Tokyo. He received his B.A. from Kobe University and Ph.D. from Princeton University. Aoki’s research has mainly focused on optimal monetary policy, housing and macro-economy, international capital flows, and asset price bubbles. He also serves as an advisor for the Research and Statistics Department of the Bank of Japan. Aoki’s past employment includes London School of Economics, CREI-Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Bank of England, and Kobe University. In 2014, he received the Nakahara Prize of the Japanese Economic Association.
