Bo Qian

Minister-Counselor, Mission of the People's Republic of China to the European Union,

Mr. Qian Bo, born in Shanghai, China, is currently the Minister-Counselor for political affairs of the Chinese Mission to the European Union.

He joined the foreign service in 1990. Since then, he has worked in the Chinese Embassy in India, the Personnel Department of MFA, the Permanent Mission of China to the United Nations, the Permanent Mission of China to the WTO, the Permanent Mission of China to the United Nations and all the specialized agencies in Geneva. Before he came to Brussels, he was Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Organizations and Conferences of MFA of China.

Qian Bo finished his undergraduate study in Foreign Affairs College in Beijing, majoring international law and diplomatic studies. Later, he got a master degree of public international law in the London School of Economics and political science in UK. He also got a PhD degree on world economy in Nankai University of Tianjing, China.
