On 24 November we were delighted to welcome Miguel Arias Cañete, European Commissioner for Climate Action & Energy to Bruegel to discuss the new energy package which will be launched the following week.

Commissioner Cañete discussed crucial topics of European energy policy such as incentivizing investments in renewable energy, ensuring security of electricity supply and energy efficiency, as well as the forthcoming legislation on Energy Union Governance.

Cleaning up Europe's transport sector: which strategies?
