Andreas Goerdeler

Deputy Director General for “Information Society, Media” at the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology,

Dr Goerdeler is Deputy Director General for “Digital Agenda for Germany und Europe” in the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology since 2011. Before that he held the position of “Head of Division for Development of Convergent ICTs” (2007 – 2011) and Head of Division for Multimedia (1998 - 2007). Before joining the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology he was at the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (1996 - 1998), at the Council for Research, Technology, and Innovation attached to Office of the Federal Chancellor (1995 - 1996) and at the Federal Ministry for Research and Technology (1988 - 1995). Prior to 1988 he held academic positions at University of Frankfurt (1977 - 1979), the Technical University of Berlin (1981 - 1985) and Institut für Systemtechnik und Innovationsforschung der Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft in Karlsruhe (1985 - 1988).
