Emil Vonvea

Director Bank Resolution, National Bank of Romania

Tiberiu Emil Vonvea has been director of the Bank Resolution Department of the National Bank of Romania since July 2015.

Before that he had a position as Deputy General Manager and as Corporate Governance Director for Garanti Group Romania during 2012 to June 2015, as Member of the Board of Directors within Garanti Group Romania, he was responsible with the Supervisory Function of the Non-Banking Financial institution.

Emil Vonvea worked for the National Bank of Romania for 12 years, at Monetary Analysis Division, Monetary Policy Department and at the Secretary of the Monetary Policy Committee of the NBR.

He attended the Economic Cybernetics, Statistics and Informatics Faculty, at the Academy of Economic Studies, in Bucharest, Romania, with a Diploma in Economic Cybernetics, then graduated the Master in Macroeconomics Analysis and Synthesis - Academy for Economic Studies, General Economics Faculty. In 2009 he graduated CFA Institute, Charlottesville, VA, USA, the qualification being Chartered Financial Analyst.
