Jae-Seung Lee

Jae-Seung Lee is a professor of international studies at Korea University as well as of the Policy Advisory Board of the Presidential Secretariat in the ministry of Foreign and Security Affairs.

Previously he was a professor at the Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security (IFANS).

Lee has authored a number of books and articles on Korea, East Asia, and Europe. His current research also includes the energy security and energy diplomacy of Korea, among others. Lee holds a BA in political science from Seoul National University (1991), and an MA (1993) and PhD (1998) in political science from Yale University. He also earned a certificate from the Institut D’Etudes Politiques de Paris (1995). He has taught at Yale University and Seoul National University.
