Jonathan Portes

Jonathan Portes is a Research Fellow at the National Institute of Economic and Social Rgesearch; and Senior Fellow, UK in a Changing Europe. Previously, he was Chief Economist at the UK Cabinet Office. His particular interests include immigration, labour markets, and poverty.  He is the author of the New Palgrave Dictionary of Economics article on Labour Mobility in the EU, and his current research concentrates on the impact of Brexit on free movement and UK immigration policy.  He writes regularly for the national and international press and is on twitter at @jdportes
