Developing a green industrial policy is a multifaced challenge. It requires a set of policy interventions spanning from support to innovation, market regulations aimed at boosting demand, labour policies to secure the necessary skills as well as trade measures to ensure an international level playing field. However, this debate remains fragmented and often driven by old paradigms and dilemmas.

At this event we launched a new Bruegel Blueprint: Sparking Europe’s new industrial revolution: a policy for net-zero growth and resilience, which aims to contribute to the formation of a new green industrial policy approach in Europe. The book brings together some of the most prominent European and global voices in the academic industrial policy debate, to share their key research results with EU and national policymakers.

At this event the panellists debated and offered valuable insights and recommendations for policymakers, industry leaders, and stakeholders invested in the future of sustainable and competitive industries in Europe.
