Manfred Hafner is Coordinator of Energy Scenarios and Policy Programme, Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei. He is also Professor in international energy studies teaching at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) Bologna Center, at Sciences Po Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA) and at Skolkovo Moscow School of Management; he is Senior Scientist at the Euro-Mediterranean Center for Climate Change (CMCC); is Associate Resercher at the Centre for Research on Energy and Environmental Economics and Policy (IEFE) at Bocconi University; and is President for Europe, MENA, Russia and CIS at International Energy Consultants (IEC). He also teaches/taught at the Ecole des Mines de Paris, IFP-School, HEC-Paris, the Florence School of Regulation and the Geneva Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, etc. He was for many years the Scientific Director of the Observatoire Méditerranéen de l’Energie (OME).
